3/15 stuck in a library all day...

It's 12:47pm right now at this moment, currently sitting here in a library, ready to write a 12 page paper all day. I need me some music to help me get through this day. Procrastinating hardcore, ready to fall asleep. I need some fuckin' groove in my life. Hopefully these tunes can help you get through that day and push you to get shit done just as they are for me. You got this. I got this. Vote Bernie for President. Enjoy.

I discovered Charles Bradley earlier this year, and God damn am I happy I did. His music is so emotional, soulful, and beautiful mixed into a voice that can make a grown man piss his pants out of love and appreciation. Take a gander, he's the fucking man.
Another great band I've been listening to a lot these past months are Twin Peaks. These dudes hail from my hometown of Chicago, Illinois and have been KILLING it recently. I've got much love for this band and am loving to see them continuously grow every tour they go on and every album they release. This is a song off of their newest album "Wild Onion" that I've been playing on repeat for a while now.
Next up is the illustrious Tim Maia. Born in Brazil, this guy personifies everything about everything that is great with Brazilian soul, funk, and Bossa Nova. I love this dude. I mean how could you not love a face like this?

A fatass bass line, accompanied with horns, a kick ass vocal track in a language that I find absolutely beautiful to go over it, as well as a mind-bending guitar solo to finish the song off. Tim Maia you have flirted with my soul. Got deep in there and made love to heart and I'm totally fucking okay with it.
Last, but certainly not least we have the Orwells. Another band I've been using to help me get through these finals. Another great local band from Elmhurst, IL a suburb of Chicago. THIS BAND IS FUCKING DOPE. Surfy, garage rock that you can absolutely get lost in. The vocals of frontman Mario Cuomo are raspy, and sung in a way almost like he doesn't give a fuck. I decided to post two Orwells songs, as they are way too good of a garage rock band to be passed up. Heavy on guitar and drumming in each of their songs...This shit will pump you up!

Godspeed everyone. And wish me luck. These finals are kicking my ass hardcore. But with Tim Maia anything is possible

Much love.
